Fuel light comes on and bike stalls, can restart straight away

The fuel light comes on almost randomly and the bike just dies like it is running out of fuel (even with a fulll tank) most commonly happens at low revs, on cold mornings or when in first 20 minutes of ride. usually restarts immediately, very scary when turning in front of a truck.

2007 triumph rocket 3 classic : problem started @ 1 year old, still hasn't been fixed under warranty despite lots of shop time, latest visit is 4 weeks at dealers, still there !

Try adding Lucas injector cleaner to a tank of gas. I'm hearing a lot of R3 owners are having issues with the ethanol in our gas. I tried it in mine and it's all but eliminated the problem. Going to drain the tank and start fresh in the spring. Good luck!

Some thing is wrong with the fuel relay it runs well but then starves for gas and quits running

How long does he have to wait to restart the bike? Does the bike stall when riding it? It sounds like your carb needs cleaning.

ALL SENSORS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. FUEL FILTER CHANGED, FUEL PRESSURE IS AT SPECS AT IDLE BUT DIES IN GEAR. WILL RESTART BUT ALWAYS DIES. NO CODES IN SYSTEM WHEN IT DIES. NO HISTORY CODES. STILL HAVE...

Replace the distributor. This is the cause of many problems with the engine running on those cars. It contains the cam sensor, the coil and has been a thorn in many a side.

Starts fine, Idles fine, Drives Fine for a while

you might want to chk. the crank sensor and or cam sensor. sounds more to me that it could be fuel problem. chk. fuel pressure. pump could be on its way out. don't be fooled by hearing the pump running as they sound like they are pumping but there not, at least not enought pressure to keep it running. pressure should be around 50 p.s.i.
