It sounds like there may be an issue with the LCD display on your Yaesu FT411E radio. If the display is not working, it may be necessary to replace it in order to restore full functionality to the radio.
You may be able to find a replacement LCD display online through electronics parts suppliers or through radio repair shops that specialize in Yaesu radios. Alternatively, you could try contacting Yaesu directly to see if they have any replacement parts available.
If you are not comfortable with repairing the radio yourself, it may be best to take it to a professional radio repair technician who can diagnose and fix the issue for you.
If you had said the radio did not work, I would say it was the key switch or a large fuse or fuseable link. But the radio is powered thru the key switch. The problem could still be the key switch or a major fuse, I would check all of the fuses then power at the key switch. Also check the ground connections.
the first thing i would do is check the speaker connectors make sure the two wires are not touching that will short out the speaker drivers in a good quality radio,
Radios often have 2 fuses, 1 for ALWAYS ON, 1 for ACC. It's possible that the always on fuse may be blown, if the radio isn't asking for a code. I'm unfamiliar with your particular car but radios can sometimes have a fuse behind them as well as the one in the fuse panel.
