Purchased second hand. The guy claims it's hard starting. Here is all we have done, replaced and checked but still the problem persists... ok so from the top.. new stainless in and ex valves, re-shimmed the head and valve stem seals. new cylinder and piston kit, cam timing correct. carb has std jetting all round and float level is correctly set with a new outside adjustable air screw fitted a new Twinair filter, new gaskets and seals and everything torqued to the correct specs.. So bike kicks over maybe 50-100 times then starts idles and revs no problem, turn the bike off then kick another 100 times and it will start again.. swopped the ignition stick coil still no difference.. when it runs its fine she idles ok, revs up clean no problem, but to get it to restart is a major issue, removed carb and checked everything again... so is there something i'm missing here??
The 2009 CRF250R is a very popular bike in the dirt bike market. The CRF250R has become very popular due to its design and features that make it a great value for money dirt bike. It's relatively cheap compared to other brands of dirt bikes, which makes it more affordable for new riders.
In terms of ease of use, this model is not as easy to start off with compared to some other models in the market. This is because there are a lot of steps involved in starting off with this model, including checking if your insurance covers you or not. To find out whether your insurance covers you or not, you need to contact your insurer directly so they can check on the coverage that is offered by them and see if it includes the risk that comes along with owning a dirt bike like an electric start system (which isn't covered). Once this has been confirmed, then you can purchase one from any dealer who sells them at an affordable price such as Gearhonest online.
