You need to make sure kill switch is not OFF! Then a 1, good hot battery. 2 good ignition switch. 3 NEW spark plugs. 4. Good ignition coils. 5. good ignition(source coil, pickup coil,.
Usually takes a professional with the proper tools to diagnose ignition system problems!!

Hi i have a 2000 fxst harley i put new starter in my bike, than i couldnt get it started so i put new coil and plug wire it run good for 6 or 7 mile, now front plug has no spark.

If the motor was running ok before you changed the starter motor you must have damaged something. Changing a starter motor on a softail harley involves removing the oil tank and wiring. You must have damaged something while doing this. Logic dictates this. Check everything that you touched or moved.

We have a 2001 Heritage softail classic. What is the spark plug gap if it has straight pipes and been rejetted?

The spark plug gap stays the same regardless of what you change other than the ignition system itself. Set your plug gap at 0.038"- 0.043". I usually set them to 0.035" to get a bit longer life out of them as long as the engine runs alright.

Good Luck

I have a harley davidson softail 2007 and have no ignition spark to plugs

could be alot of things, most likely the ignition pickup, or control module, is it fuel injected or carb? It could also be bad coil.

I have a 2003 Heritage Softail Classic started then died

Fuel clog in carb or injector, or the magnetic pick up for the electronic ignition.....the spark plugs need to be checked also....lots of variables, but thats a start

1996 HARLEY SOFTAIL WON'T START

Sounds like a blown fuse or bad relay to the starter

Replaced positive battery cable + spark=bike will not fire up

I am afraid to make assumptions as to what else you have checked due to some negative feedback. Did you LOAD check the Battery? Did you check and clean your grounds? If you have done all of that the next logical problem is the solenoid, which can be rebuilt.
