Most likely low compression caused by stuck piston rings or a scored piston and cylinder. This unit was made by Poulan and they have had an epidemic of this problem. The solution is to tear the unit down and put in new piston rings. Before you install the new rings you need to get a sheet of glass and some 600 grit wet dry sand paper. Sand each ring down about .002 to .003 and reinstall. This should solve your problem as long as you have good fire and the piston and cylinder is not scored.

My poulan pro bvm210vs blower wouldnt start. Changed fuel lines, fuel filter, and cleaned carb. Now, fuel bulb will only prime when unit is on its side. It then will start, run10 seconds and die

Sounds like you made the Fuel line in the tank too short . OR the stone filter on the fuel line is not able to move about the Fuel tank to follow the fuel

Hello, I have a Poulan Pro BVM200 VS leaf blower that starts great. New s plug. Warms up great. Find great at any throttle position UNTIL I pick it up to actually use it. It floods bad, drenching...

Look at thd fuel lines. They may have come undone which is why its flooding the air filter. Take the air filter off and look to see where the fule is coming from, that will give you a better idea of how to fix it.

Poulan Pro leaf blower does not get fuel to the carburator. It isn't very old. The filter was off and on the bottom of the fuel tank. I replaced the fuel ines. I have switched the lines and tried

If the fuel filter has fallen off the fuel hose, then the internal carb screen will be blocked, you need the remove the carb, remove the cover on the carb held with a single central screw ( pump side ) here you will find the screen ( fine filter ) clean or replace this, if you can acsess the cover without removing the carb all the better.

Starts and runs for about 10 seconds then dies

check the fuel lines for holes or cracks if they are fine then a carb kit may be needed

Poulan bv200. will not throtle up. it starts with choke at1/2 and throtle at 1/2. new spark plug and clean air filter. when i try to zero choke it dies. and at full throtle it will not get to full speed...

The unit is lean. rebuild the carb with a carb kit and check your fuel lines. If they are brown or discolored or brittle they need to be replaced. carb kits run approx. 11 - 18 dollars from your local dealer.

Starts but will not run

its a fuel issue. check fuel lines and fuel filter. If fuel lines are discolored or brittle or if filter has become unattatched from line- the fuel lines need replaced. Then carb needs adjusted ( turn low speed jet out 1/2 turn) or rebuilt

Poulan leaf blower won't start

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner.Make sure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylight through it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance on:
1. Fuel line replacement or
2. Carburetor kit replacement

Just let me know.
