SOURCE: Clutch bleed on a Suzuki 1400 Intruder 2000

One the left-hand side of the bike (facing forward), there is cover plate just ahead of the drive shaft. Remove that cover (mine has 8mm bolts). The bleeder valve is under this cover. Go to an auto parts store and get a "one man bleeder kit" or if you have some plastic tubing that will fit over the valve, you can use that and a clean jar. Follow the instructions on the bleeder kit, or if you're using the jar and tubing, fill the jar about a quarter of the way with break fluid (use DOT4, but never DOT5!). Take the cover off the master cylinder up at the handlebars, place the tube over the end of the bleed valve (after loosening it a turn or two. Place the other end of the tube down in the break fluid in the jar. Work the clutch lever until you stop getting bubbles in the jar. Be sure to keep the fluid level up in the reservoir. Tighten the bleeder valve, remove the tubing, top off the fluid and replace the covers.

Be careful not to get brake fluid on anything. It will eat paint and mess up other things.

SOURCE: 87 samurai bolt torque specs for engine

The haynes book is not recommended since there are numerous mistakes and they still will not update. One of the biggest is the firing order.

The factory service manual is the only way to go.

Head bolts - 46 - 50.5 lbs (there is an order sequence for the bolts)

Intake & exhuast manifolds- 13.5 - 20 lbs

Flywheel - 41.5 - 47 lbs

Clutch cover - 13.5 - 20 lbs

2006 ford ranger head tightening sequence

Tightening the head bolts is the same on any vehicle. Start from the middle and work your way to each end, crossing back and forth and out from the middle, going back and forth between each end. Don't tighten all at once and make sure to have your torque specs for your engine. first, snug, then tighten firm, then torque to spec. This diagram is for reference only. Make sure to get torque specs for your engine.0b61846.jpg

Needing engine bolt torque specifications for a 2006 Ford Five Hundred with 3.0 liter engine. This will need to include rod and mains torque and torque rotation.

stage 1 tighten to 30 ft pounds
stage 2 tighten 90 degrees
stage 3 loosen one full turn
stage 4 tighten to 30 ft pounds
stage 5 tighten 90 degrees
stage 6 tighten 90 degrees
this is per mitchell on demand courtesy of ford specs on the lft and right head.
for some reason there are no torque specs on mitchell for connecting rods and mains.

Head tourque specs

The Haynes manual says for 96 - 98 to torque the head bolts to 22 ft lbs and than the short bolts 45 degrees, medium 55 and long 65 degrees

Those bolts are "Torque To Yield" bolts. You should be using new head bolts, tighten them to the spec listed and then rotate them the additional degrees of rotation that is specified. This assures that the bolts are tightened to a maximum clamp load.

To start out with, be sure to torque from the center out and there is a designated sequence to go in
