Question about Yamaha Motorcycles
When I connect the speed sensor on my Yamaha Majesty 400, it will show error 1, but when I remove the speed sensor from my Yamaha Majesty YP400G 2009, the bike will start but the engine warning light will always on, Is there any way I can fix the speed sensor cable because ones I connect the speed sensor cable, the ECU on my bike will not receive signal, that is why it will show error 1 on the dashboard, please really need your help, thanks... @
Hi, Petglo for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

Looks like your only solution is a new speed sensor, unless you have damaged the connecting wire.

there are 2 large terminal plugs with the wiring for all the instruments that are plugged into the back of that panel. make sure they are snug and in place. You reach in and under but it may easier to "simply" remove the cluster. 4 screws hold it in place accessible form underneath and with a long phillips screwdriver and lighting.

This is a new one the engine service light is on and its caused by teh speed sensor?? this is a totally new fault showing and iam wondering how you learnt the speed sensor is the cause ,unfortunatly their is no listing for resetting a mitsubishi service light in my alldata book so it looks like its a dealer only job although i bet its possible on this older vehicle somehow ,like holding the trip meter on and then turning the ignition on or the AM/fm button the radio or something equally bizarre
