SOURCE: Can't charge battery for ever start plus 750 amps has air compressor. I have asked this question a lot but no good answer.

Your question isn't very well worded, so no decent replies. I have reworded it for you Bonnie.

This is a cheap unit from Walmart. 28 bucks will get you a new one.

So you try to charge it and it doesn't charge? It can only be three things.

  1. The internal battery has failed
  2. There is a loose connection inside
  3. The charger circuit is broken, faulty, shot.
I did a search and found I answered another post on these units it is a known problem and that is probably why Walmart were selling refurbished units. So many of them, they couldn't just write them off. They got the company to fix the issue and then offered them for sale as refurbished units.

SOURCE: Can you use a Motomaster eliminate Battery booster pack with Air compressor 1400 peak battery AMPS 700 crank assist AMPS To charge a battery or just jump start it

If booster is fully charged and the vehicle battery is almost discharged it is inevitable some battery charging will take place but it is likely to be a slow and incomplete process and could shorten the life of the booster which isn't built for such work.

It is also worth noting the car alternator is also not built for charging the battery and is often incapable of doing so. The purpose of the car alternator is to keep a fully charged battery fully charged and a discharged battery can even cause damage to an alternator.

No power too bike

If you jump started from a car you have fried the battery. Also possible cooked the rectifier/regulator unit. I suggest get a new battery and charge it at no more than 1 amp for a few hours. Fit the battery and see if the bike starts. If it does check the charge rate to the battery with a muti-imeter. You should be looking at just over 14 volts with about 5K RPM. Good luck and please remember never jump start from a car, van, lorry etc in fact don't jump start at all from anything.

I have a 2005 Honda VT 750 DC Shadow Spirit, and won't start up when cold and the battery dies/no mo juice after a couple of tryes, can I jump start it with a battery on a idleing car?

DO NOT EVER jump start with car, car battery hase too much power, you will blow your fuses and maybe even ecu if your bika hase it. Thry charging your battery when it's off the bike. But you should buy new one.
Usually battery for bikes last 3-4 year and need to be changed.

Hello, I have a 2005 Honda VT 750 DC Shadow Spirit, and just got "tune up", but now it won't start when cold, is there a safe way to jump start it with car cables/battery?

jump starting of a car battery can cause a spike in the charge circuit, when the bike starts it can try to charge the car battery and fry the regulator. better to roll start and take it back to the tune up specialist

2005 kawasaki 750 vulcan, starts hard and doesn't seem to be charging,is it the stator??

i have found on these bikes that if the battery is not strong enough it does not crank the engine fast enough to start easily. Especially like it sounds like you are concerned about the charging.Maybee jump start the bike with a strong battery of a car or powerpack and see if this still happens. Beware when jump starting not to short the leads you could blow your CDI.

My Ducati 750 Monster Battery is Dead. What kind ...

A smaller car 12v 4 or 5 amps charger will do the job, the slower the battery is charged the better, so use the lower setting if available.
charge it out of the bike, this way you can check the water level, and if it overflows it wont spray acid over your engine and frame.
If it doesnt start the bike after a charge, get a new battery, as running a sad battery can overload the charging electrics. and dont jump start it of a car battery that will accept more amps than the bike can produce

My 2000 suzuki750 will not start without a jump. i charge the battery several times. when i put the bike in gear it shuts off then i have to jump it again to start. the cycle continue all over. can you...

Sounds like the battery has lost its capacity, also if you have the kickstand down when you put it into gear the engine will shut off. Try this, put jumper cables on the battery, hook it up to a car that is running, start the bike, put the kickstand up while holding the bike up and holding the clutch in, put it in gear. If it continues to run, disconnect the cables and see if it stalls. If it does, you need a new battery! Please rate this as helpful if it was. And write back a testimonial and let me know how you made out. Thanks Bob.

I have a 05 gsxr 750, replaced battery, now no start.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, try starting with the clutch lever pulled in and / or the sidestand folded up.  Additionally, determine if there is a clicking sound.  If there is, then it would most likely be the starter solenoid.

Good luck and thank yu for asking FixYa.

Won't start without a jump even with new battery

Normally a new battery would require at least 8 hours of continuous charging before it can take the full load of a vehicles lighting, starting motor etc...So please ensure that the new battery gets fully charged (ideally leave it charging for about 16 hours). I am not an expert on vehicles but I now this is how batteries (especially new batteries work). You would require a proper battery charge for this job because you cannot leave a another vehicle running with jump leads for this that long. Hope this helps.
