I have a suzuki gn250 and the speedo has stopped working, what should i do? i couldnt find it listed under the catagory so a just chose one. its a 1996.

Because of the plastic gear on the odometer shaft is some teeth . You'll have to replace the entire speedometer . Or take the vehicle to a shop that does those types of repairs. I went to the junkyard and bought the entire instrument cluster for under 50.00$ . Did it myself. Tedious job don't be in a rush could break something else. .
I would check the continuity of the wiring from the speedo to the sensor. There really is nothing else to go wrong. If the speedo "blips" as you switch the ignition on, it is probably OK.
Have you had the front wheel off lately? The speedo sensor may have been broken when the front tire was put back on (a common thing, and easily broken). The wiring harness under the speedo may have vibrated loose also.
