Question about 2005 KTM EXC 450 Racing

2005 KTM 450 EXc service manual

Does anyone know if there is a more comprehensive workshop manual for a 2005 KTM 450 EXC available other than the one that comes with the bike. All the manual that comes with the bike is good for is oil changes and tyre pressure. I want to be able to perform more comprehensive servicing like valve checks and top end rebuilds and whilst not an idiot I'm not the greatest mechanic in the world either!
I live in Australia so not sure how widespread this site is but the internet brings us all a little closer!

I know you can find what you want in a Hayne's manual. I don't know that you can get a Haynes in Australia. This site should help. I too own a KTM (04 125 SX) and I love it. I wish I had the $ to fly to Australia and ride. Good Luck.

Hi Can you help. I have a 2005 250 EXC with a 350 conversion. The bike runs really well except it will not rev out completely. I understand that these engines will rev out at 11400rpm but mine will only...

It may be the electronic controller for the engine. Its probably factory set to 250 specs. You will probably have to get the software reprogrammed or get hold of a matching 350 system which allows for higher RPM.

Just a note:
I have the same bike and 1.2l of oil will NOT register in the sight glass. I can't even see it in the bottom of the glass. SO IGNORE THE GLASS IF THIS HAPPENS AND DO NOT KEEP ADDING OIL TILL YOU SEE IT IN THE SIGHTGLASS. Add 1.2 liter if you are changing the filters, and add 1L if you are keeping the old filters in there.
