Good quality oil is the cheapest form of insurance!!!
there are realy great synthetic oils around now!
it also depends on the weather extremes that you ride in!!
10 w 40 is a safe bet!
Cheers Rob

Used 954 rr with 14800 miles, dont know if they use synthetic or not- should ik still go 10w40? if so im going mobil

If you use 10-40 semi synthetic, you will be covered as it will mix with either. Next time you can then use fully synthetic without a worry.

I have a suzuki vl 800 i take very good care of it the guy that owned the bike used mobil not shure if it was synthetic, im running suzuki v twin simi synthetic, but im not shure if thats the oil i want to...

Lose the synthetic as fast as you can. Synthetics can swell the cork on the pressure plates. This causes the clutch to grab and/or drag. 10w40 motor oil should be in the gear box.

What type of oil do i use in a 1982 cx500 c?

Not to start a debate, but you're going to want to stay away from synthetics in your bike. It's a wet clutch system that has the potential to slip if synthetic oil is used.

I prefer to use Mobil Clean 5000 10w40 but many other respected people in the cx/gl community love Rotella of the same weight.

What type of synthetic oil should i use for my '99'BMW 323i

I just had my factory maintenance done on my volvo and the mechanic really likes the total (german) brand synthetic. he likes it better than castrol syntec

either this or use any brand name full synthetic.

I used 5w30 because I do not expect to be driving in temperatures above 86F in the next 5000 miles

I have a gsxr750 89 model.does anyone knows whitch type of oil should i use???

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell. Change the oil filter along with the oil.

Repsol MOTO Gasoline Motor OIl,4T,Sintetico synthetic blend 10W40

Repsol Moto 4T Sintetico Synthetic Oil - 10W40

Synthetic blend lubricant with high thermal stability, designed to meet the needs of the most technologically advanced 4-stroke motorcycle engines.
  • Excellent starting and lubrication in cold conditions due to its low viscosity.
  • Meets JASO MA API SJ requirements.
Its fine to change your oil with synthetic, Just be sure that you use synthetic from now on... I don't think its advisable to switch back to regular oil after using synthetic.

Oil

In many bikes the clutch work in oil and if you use an very good oil like sintetics with may be can cause a slipage clutch not when it is a new one but whne it have an use inportant the discs are more thin and the antifriccion oil can cause slipage more in the better oils like sintethics.
