Hi, Frank I would really love to help you with your bike question but due to the magnitude of yesterday's solar flare the batteries in my crystal ball are dead and my mental telepathy headset circuitry was melted. I need the year, make, and model of your motorcycle please click on " Ask For More Information" directly below and provide this information in the box that will open and then click on the green "SEND" box in the bottom right-hand corner after it posts I will receive an "ALERT" icon that will allow me to respond to your information. SOURCE: I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 149k miles.

that's funny -- sorry.. seriously though, there is a sensor which is electronically powered to read your speed. You can find the details in a haynes or chiltons repair manual - try your local library to see if you can check one out...
Best regards

SOURCE: 2003 grand caravan sport speedometer doesn't work

I have 4 dodge caravans. Everyone one of them does this we take it on the freeway get up over 60 mph and it will kick back around. I'm serious it will work fine after. Everyone can do this. I run a small taxi business and we only use dodge caravans.

At 170,000 the odometer got stuck &I reset the trip meter & after 9 miles it stopped completely. I tried resetting but NO luck. What can I do???

If the speedometer still works, you'll probably have to replace the cluster. Chances are a gear broke inside the odometer.

Why my mile meter from my nissan altima 1993 does not work

if you mean the odometer that records how far the car has traveled it could be a bad speedo head that the odometer has a problem.

What's the problem when your odometer reading

are you saying that the odometer does not roll over the miles and that the speed of water does register the current speed?
Usually if the odometer is not working it is a problem inside the speedometer unit in the dash.If neither is working then you may have a broken connection to the unit on the transmission that sends electrical information to the speedometer.I hope this helpsregards

Odometer stopped working

How many miles are on this vehicle? I ask because the odometers in these car stop working around the 140k to 170k mark. Did the button comeback? Is this the mileage on the digital or analog trip meter?
The process to change the odometer gear is fairly straight forward and takes less than $20 and an hour. Let me know.
