You are going to have to go to a Daihatsu dealer ship, and that have to verify that you are the rightful owner, most dealerships will reset it for free for you, every car has a different code.

the procedure of aligning all the timing marks before removing the belt will be the same . The necessity of not moving crank and cams without the belt being connected is still relevant. How ever there are some differences as to tensioning the belt and timing balance shafts . The biggest killer of rubber belts is oil so the oil seals (Cams shaft/ crank shaft should be also replaced and hydraulic tensioner if you have one). Idler pulleys do as much work as the belt so replacing them to replace the bearings is also a good move. . To come up to speed as to the differences a workshop manual for your vehicle is strongly recommended.
