SOURCE: my high power GE Advantium microwave is sparking

Your problem is a common one. When you see arcing inside your microwave, it's because of food or liquid left in the cavity or on the wave-guide cover:

  • If the wave guide has any burn spots, replace it and clean the unit well.

  • If the cavity has any burn spots, spot-sand it smooth and touch it up with microwave interior paint.
Note… If there are any burn holes in the cavity, don't use the unit-seek help from a qualified appliance repair technician.

Have a 17hp kawasaki propane buffer wont crank and seems to get no power at all

Use your volt meter to test the battery voltage. It should be at least 12.4v . I this is good, follow the voltage through the ignition switch and the relay if it has one, on to the starter. If you have power on to the starter, but still no crank, the starter is bad.
Hope this helps, Robert

I have an Enviro propane fireplace insert installed last year & it worked fine. The tank & regulator were changed because I got another gas supplier. For some reason now I have a low flame....

It sounds to me like you need to increse gas pressure. Most propane fired units need at least a 11 inch water column of pressure for proper operation. This relates closely 7.5 ounces. I would have regulator checked out by qualified service techs. Thank you

I have a 25KV stand-by generator made by generac. It is powered by a 4 cylinder mitsubishi engine. All works well for about 24 hours then the generator will shut down. If I install a fresh battery, it...

You didn't say if this is gas or diesel. My guess is gas (propane or natural gas) which means it has spark plugs. You have a charging system problem. The engine gets enough spark from the battery to run for 24 hours, and the charging system isn't able to keep up so that drains the battery until there isn't enough juice to get the plugs to spark and it quits running. It could be your alternator, or your voltage regulator (which might be inside the alternator). Remove the alternator and take it to a service shop. They can test and fix or exchange it. A temporary solution would be to connect a battery charger to the battery and leave it in place while it runs. That should provide enough juice to keep it running indefinitely, or at least quite a bit longer. If you hook up the battery charger so that it is powered by the output from your generator, this could work as a longer-term work-around - since it will only provide juice to the battery while it's running. I hope this was helpful. Al K

-turns over but won't start -changed fuel filter

Check your battery as it supplies juice for the coil. Then check your coil or coilpak and the crankshaft sensor. The bad spark may be an underlying reason for how the truck has been running.

Do you know if the fuelpump is working? The Inertia sensor may have tripped while you changed regulators. You may need to reset the button on it to connect the fuelpump.

I have an older Genesis grill with a leaking regulator

You can get a replacement regulator at just about any home improvement store (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.) There haven't been changes in the size of the ports or thread patterns on regulators or propane tanks in the last 15 years.

Bike keeps dieing

Measure the charging circuit.Stator output voltage (all three against ground), regulator-rectifier.
The stator should have an output of 13-14V at 2000rpm and rising while you turn the gas more open. The regulator should have a constant 13.5-14.5V at 3000rpm even when you turn on the high beams.Rising rpm should not change the reading on the battery's poles (regulator output)
