Christmas comes early. Go to the site below and you can download a free PDF service manual. Yours is the 1st one in the "Suzuki GSF" section of the list. 4 or 5 below that is a PDF parts diagram with part numbers.

http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.

Top rating due for this answer! Thanks Asel :)

SOURCE: how do i adjust the drive chain on my suzuki

set the bike on the centre stand,loosen the rear axle nut,on either side of the swingarm at the rear there will be a small adjuster nut(normally with a lock nut on it)undo the locknut,then turn each ajuster 1/4 turn at a time untill the chain has about 1 1/2 inches freeplay up and down,make sure when you do this that the axle alignment marks are exactly the same on both sides of the swingarm,once you have the chain adjusted to the right tension,tighten the rear axle bolt and replace the splitpin(if fitted),then tighten the locknuts on the chain adjusters,thats it,hope this helps

SOURCE: My suzuki gsf 600 bandit 1999 wont start.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, try with the sidestand folded up and / or the clutch lever pulled in.  Likewise determine if there is a clicking sound when the start button is pressed:

  • if there is a clicking sound, locate the starter relay. Follow the big cable from the battery's + terminal; it would end in nother terminal of the starter relay:
  1. turn ignition ON and kill switch to RUN;
  2. short the 2 big terminals of the starter relay. Expect a big start. If the starter spins, startr relay is faulty.
  • if there is no click, then the safety interlocks are preventing the relay from engaging. Check the neutral switch/wire and sidestand switch/wire.
It is of course assumed that the battery is fully charged and that the battery cablles/connectors are clen and tight.  Postback result(s) of tests.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
