Use TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL in the pump. If not using an automatic oil pump, then mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil. Brand of oil doesn't matter.
Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell. If in a hot area like Texas or New Mexico go with 20w50.

hi mate gear oil wise you need light gear oil i reccomend silkolene,motorex,morris,rock oil for 2 stroke wise you need to buy a mixing bottle of ebay or something with a ratio of 32/1 and i use silkolene comp 2 premix competition oil descent stuff its 10 pound for 1 litre

ST175G, 2 cycle engine, I lost the manual and I cant remember the percentage of the mixing oil and gas. It has been a few years since I did it. Please help. Thank you, Roger
the type of oil to use is 2 stroke oil ( not ordinary engine oil as for cars )and the ratio is 40:1
the engine type is a homelite engine and the ratio can be 40:1 or 50: 1
I prefer to set the ratio as to the smoke produced so if 40:1 produces too much smoke at full rpms , drop it back to 50:1
The correct mix is when there is JUST visible smoke at rpms
definitely no e fuels.

Standard oil to use id SAE10W30 or SAE 10W40.
If you are still in doubt go to your local motorcycle dealer and ask the question as the normally are willing to tell you the oil type for your particular bike. Good enough?

The Remington manual for model 111409-01 states: "This Pole Saw requires lubrication only to prevent rust on the guide bar and saw chain. The saw chain provided is pre-lubricated at the factory. With each use of the Pole Saw apply a small amount of lubricating oil directly to the saw chain (see Figure 8).
