Are you sure it is fuel injected? If the bike starts then it is not the fuel relay. How long does the bike run before it stalls and can you rev the engine? Is there black smoke coming out of the exhaust at idle?

My 2001 V-11 Sport would not restart, or die right-away when it was hot. The problem was the electric fuel tap from the fuel tank. Moto International replace it with a manual one and I have ridden 50,000 miles without the problem returning.

How long does he have to wait to restart the bike? Does the bike stall when riding it? It sounds like your carb needs cleaning.

Riding mower v twin acts like its running out of gas how to check what is wrong

Does it idle normally, but only start starving of fuel under load or high revs?
If so, check the fuel filter - just a simple plastic cylinder that the fuel line runs through before going into the carburettor. Quite cheap and easy to replace.

88 chevy relay switches

How do you know it's actually started for gas?

Are you sure it's actually starved for gas, and not just a bad o2 sensor? Are you having issues with it running properly?

When is it running lean? WOT, idle, always? It's possible you have bad diaphrams and your secondaries aren't opening up, but hard to say without an actual description of the problem.

I have a 93 K3500 with a 454. Truck was running fine, started no problem, ran great. Driving the other day, turn the corner and the engine quit. Cranked the engine, fired up for 2-3 seconds then quit, ...

Before starting the engine, the fuel pump should only run for a few seconds when the key is first turned, to pressurize the fuel system. Even though the pump appears to be running, you may either have not enough or too much pressure for the engine to keep running (fuel pump or pressure regulator). I think it may just be a coincidence the engine quit while turning a corner, but the gas in your tank may have been so low it sloshed away from what is likely a very old pump, starving it and causing it to failure.

Just changed map sensor fuel filter idle control valve and when you press the gas it hesitates like its bn starved think its a bad injector all the vac lines are connected checked relays still having probs...

check the fuel pressure and volume with a gage and check to specs.it could be a bad tps sensor.if it was a bad injector it would run rough and not feel like its starving for gas.it could be that all the injectors are dirty and need to be cleaned or if too dirty replaced.

Engine cranks over and starts, but won't stay running or idle

If it is a fuel issue. Heres a suggestion. If you have an electric fuel pump your ignition switch may not be sending power to the relay in the run position but does in the start position. Also if its fuel injected you may be having a problem with fuel pressure, or a relay problem. Last, get a second person to help you by puting their hand by the exhaust pipe and see how much is coming out. Your description also may indicate a plugged Converter backing up exhaust into the engine making it quit running. Hope this helps...
