Fluctuating... you mean the level is getting low, then getting over filled?
.. to check it.. make sure you are always on level ground.. the bike is always level,, and wait check the level at least one minute after stopping the engine.
Check the oil the exact same way each time to eliminate human error!!

Look at the right side of your engine at the bottom, you will see a small round glass where you can see the oil level. The bike has to be level for you to get an accurate reading. The filler plug is on the same side of the engine on the top of the crankcase cover.

Hi if you look down towards the water pump you will see a philips screw on the clutch cover, you remove the screw and top up oil until it comes out the hole and you are good to go. total capacity is 1050ml and 10w30 is the recommended oil for the transmission and I find my tri-z runs best on the castrol A747 two stroke.
