You have to remove the headlight, then the Nacelle ( passing lamps if you have them ) Under the lock ( which is removed with a small flat head screwdriver ( it's held in by 3 little push in tabs ) There are 2 phillips head screws( remove them ) then once you have the headlight out, there is a 5/16 nut holding the top chrome spine in place. Remove the nut lift the spline. then remove the nacelle one side at a time. Once you remove the nacelle the 1/4 allen bolts are right there to tighten. Make sure you tighten them evenly. Reverse steps to re-install back to normal.

My 2002 roadking handlebars are loose any fix

Harley Davidson handlebars are mounted in rubber vibration dampers. If they're too "mushy" for you, you can replace the bushings with either neoprene bushings or solid bushings. On your road king you need to gain access to the bottom side of the upper triple tree.

My handle bars are loose on my 2005 Harley Roadking FLHRI, how do I tighten them. Do I need to remove the headlight assembly?

They're probably not loose. The movement you're feeling is probably in the rubber bushing that the handlebars are mounted in. Harley has used rubber bushings for years to isolate the handlebars from as much engine and road vibration as possible.

On your "cruiser" bikes like your roadking, the bushing are quite soft to dampen the vibration to a greater degree. The bushing on the Softail may not be as soft. The good news is that they aren't difficult to replace with a firmer set. You will have to take the headlight nachelle off to gain access to the nuts or bolts that hold them in place. You can order aftermarket bushings that are more firm or you can even get solid steel bushings to eliminate the movement to the degree that you want.

Loose handlebars

Easy 1 min job but an hr taking chrome off. Here is the readers digest version. Start with the headlight off first screw under light on chrome trim. then pry it off. unfasten the screws holding light on about 7 screws, then unplug light. their is a chrome piece on the top of light chrome has a nut holding it on take nut off then lift that piece off. pop the piece of plastic off the key hole it prys off two screws under it remove them. that piece of chrom has a screw in it in front of handlebars you uncovered it when you took that chrome cover piece off. JUST loosen it. Now im sure you took off your windshield before you started so now remove your bolts that hold on the quick release windshield on both sides. Your chrome nacell will now split apart to show your 4 bolds that lock down your handle bar. See I told you 1 in job but hr to take off the samn chrome. When you put that ling cover piece of chrome back on ..NOT To TiGHt or it will snap the piece the plastic goes on. Hope that helps.
