ppu is a part of cpu that processes specific data separatedly if you are on operative system enviroment you are talking of something related to graphycs components... but was this your question? or do you want help with your problem?

if you need help I need more info cuz I dont know what you did besides formatting an HD... did you installed a new os? Did you do it with a good installation CD? I coudnt know.

What I can tell you now is that POST has nothing to do with HD... the post should be ok if you boot with the HD disconnected...

In fact if you boot only with mother, micro and RAMs, some video adapter (integrated or external)... and of course power supply... post should be ok, otherwise you have hardware problems, most likely mother or ram... might be videoboard but its not that frecuent...

What you should do is just that, booting with basic hardware and see if its ok... if you can enter the bios restar normally and all that... IF NOT, try disconecting all cables and resetting bios... if you dont know how... take the lithium battery of the motherboard and move the (cmos or crtl) jumper to reset position and let it all like that for 10 minutes... (10 just to be completely sure) NO POWER SUPPLY.

THEN put the basic pieces back together and try booting... NO DISK NO NOTHING BUT BASICS...

If you still have problems you might have hardware problems and I sadly cant do anything from here... But if you succeed just connect HD and a cd reader and install any OS with a good working CD.

G luck

Harley davidson codes

After all the diagnostic codes are displayed, the speedometer's pulses per unit (PPU) setting is displayed.
The PPU Value is what controls the speed displayed on the speedometer, which in turn
controls the turn signal cancellation.

When riding my 2002 FLSTC, occasionally the speedometer drops to 0 then back again and the odometer is flashing then goes to normal. I get an error code d01Clr 1- 10 then PPU 82883. I was told it might be...

Could be the speedo itself. The codes you are talking about are actually showing that they are clear. That's what the Clr stands for. If they were actually codes there it would show the number with set behind it instead of Clr. The PPU is the part number. As far as the speedo goes. Most of the time it is the speed sensor, but i would suggest taking it to a dealer to have them actually check the speedo correctly to see if it is that for sure.

A Physics Processing Unit (PPU) is a dedicated microprocessor designed to handle the calculations of physics, especially in the physics engine of video games. Games wishing to take advantage of the PhysX PPU must use AGEIA's PhysX SDK.

What is the mobo model #? Did you recently install a PhysX card?
