Could be several things.  Your battery could be bad. After not being charged for a while, they do go bad- often. You may want to try a new battery along with your new charger.  You could also have a switch /connection problem. If you get a new battery and it still doesnt work, you may want to check the switches and wiring. It is not uncommon for the switch to go bad especially if it had been stored outside.

If you have tried discharging the batteries prior to charging them already with no result and from what you describe in your post, then I would have to say the charger has issues. Go to HD or Lowes (not sure if Lowes carry Makita) but another charger and test your battery again. If you get the same fault, there is an issue other than the charger, if not you need a new charger anyway. If you get the same fault with the new charger, you can always return the new one. Short of opening up the charger and using a volt meter, this is the easiest way to test to pinpoint the real problem. I hope this helps and good luck!

When I put the battery on the charger the light on the charger stays on for little awhile the it starts to blink, but when I try to use the battery it is not charged. So I am not sure if I need a new

Hi there! It sounds like you have our Linx stick vacuum or hand vacuum model. Plug only the charger into an outlet, the blue light on the charger should flash once. If the light on the charger flashes once then the charger is fine. Try resetting the battery by following these quick steps below.

1. Remove the battery from charger or cleaner
2. Unplug the charger
3. Insert the battery into the vacuum and turn the unit on for 30 seconds (even if it has no power)
4. Remove the battery
5. Plug the charger into an outlet, make sure the light on charger blinks blue once.
6. Insert battery into charger

The light should be a solid blue, indicating the battery reset worked. If so, allow the battery to charge for 3-4 hours, completely deplete battery on your next use and re-charge. If the light on the charger is still blinking, your battery will need to be replaced. I have included a link where you may go to purchase a replacement battery if needed. Hope this helps!

How to recharge the battery to KTM superduke?

The super safe way is to have a normal fully charged car battery. Link this to your battery the same way as you would jump start. Positive to positive and negative to negative. Leave for 12 hours plus, and you will have a 3/4 charged battery, all done with no chance of over charge or any other little gremlins.

Another way is to take it out of you bike and hook it up to a charger. As I do not know what type of battery you have, I cannot give you how long to leave it connected, but if you have a quality charger, then it is no problem, because it will turn it self off.

Another way is to take it out of your bike and take it to the nearest Auto Electrician and he will charge it for you.

I have not a manual for you particular model, but if you go through them, you might find one that is of help.: http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp

My ktm duke had a low battery i fitted a new one and the ignition worked fine but now it dose nothing but bike kick starts

Check your stator and voltage regulator for proper output. Sounds like the battery isn't receiving a charge through the system. You can charge the battery with a trickle charger to verify the battery will take a charge outside the bikes charging system.

I cant charg my psp i cant find my charger

When you say you can't cahrge it, do you mean on your PC, PS3 or with the charger? I don't think the PS3 charges the PSP, I have no idea about the PC, but if the PSP doesn't charge using it's charger, it is either the battery, the charger, or the psp charger outlet. If it is the battery, buy a new one. If it is the charger outlet, it is a good idea to have 2 working batteries and to buy an external charger at game crazy, game stop, or from sony. This way, you can switch out batteries while playing, like me :). If it is the charger, buy a new one.
I would suggest first trying to buy a new battery. If it works, you are good to go and your old battery was broken, otherwise your charger/ charger outlet is broken. Buy an external charger. Then, you will be able to charge the batteries while one is in the PSP.
A new battery and an external charger cost about $70, but it is worth it. I hope i helped.
