1. on your clutch leaver there should be a tension screw where the cable goes in if you need more clutch you have to make sure to bring the screw out a bit
2. down on the side of your motor you will see a cable going in there should be a sleeve covering the cable pull up the sleeve and tighten the slack by bringing the screw out a bit.
Pretty sure the vt700 shadow of that year uses a hydraulic tappet setup....as such here are no settings as to valve adjustment.
