The rectifier is ok but voltage is 8.5v ac on kymco 500i., wher is the expication?

12 volt battery should be 12-13.2 volts dc normal and 14.5-14.8 vdc at rpms if you only get 8.5 vdc then the charge system ( alternator /stator)is not working or the voltage regulator needs replacing

How do u work on a 2013 kymco 500i?
If its carborated check the float level.

My kymco 500i won't start when pushing the button. When I turn on the key everything lights up but nothing happens. I put a screwdriver across the starter relay and it starts. I just installed a new relay...
This is the car section.

Weak or no spark
weak spark can indicate bad coil,,,correded wires,,,or grounding of the ignition circut,,in which case you would have No spark,,,simple things first,,,check your wired to the plugs,,some have removable plug caps,,and many times,,corression interferes with strong spark,,,coil testing must be done at a service provider,,,wires can be grounded,,expically if you have dumped the bike and the handle bars have be dissloged somewhat,,,check the kill switch for damage inside..

2007 Kymco Xciting 500: Jumper cables were reversed. Replaced battery and all fuses. Now the battery discharges, battery charge light in dash is not on, even when engine is not running. Also speedo needle...
the stator produces ac current and the voltage regulator/ rectifier converts the ac current to dc current and keeps your battery charged.

So its probably your voltage regulator.
when engine is off the battery should read 12.5 volts
At idle the baterry should read 12.8+ volts
at 2000 rpm battery should read 13.0 - 14.8 volts

if your not getting those readings your voltage regulator is bad.
you can find them at parts for scooters dot com pretty cheap and they ship fast.


as for the speedo, you may be able to take apart and reset the needle. Some you can't even get to.
so you may have to get a new one.

3-phase recty fier not output voltage 230V 10V
What is the type (input, output, power) of the rectifier.
If controllable - may be the control PCB or thyristor.
If not controllable - 10 V DC instead of 230 V DC is hardly believable.
In this case the rectifier may be OK, but the input - low.
If you have a voltmeter, check the input AC and the output DC if the output has about 200 V AC you may have shortened diode.

No spark from CDI Unit. bike is Bug Jive 50. Motor cut out while riding, checked all obvious things, lights OK, Battery Ok
Replace the magneto/stator, CDI and voltage regulator/rectifier. Usually if one messes up they all go bad.

I have a kymco agility 50 and it won't start. It has no power what so ever, the starter won't turn over and the break light won't light when I pull the break. I checked the kill switch.
