This is obviously a clutch issue. IIRC, Goldwing has a hydraulic clutch, so I'd start by bleeding it (especially if the oil in it is older than two years). Other than that, you'll need a mechanic to check it out.
It is possible that whoever did the trike conversion did not figure out the sub harness they added correctly, or left something unplugged. Could also be a broken wire inside the insulation. As complicated as a Goldwing electrical system is, you may have to go back to the person/company that converted the bike (if done by a company specializing in conversions) or find a crack Goldwing mechanic that specializes in electric issues.
