My 91 FZR 600 fell over and broke the crankcase cover, I put a new one on and now it only clicks after pushing the start button so I replaced the solenoid and now the lights cut out with no noise when I hit the button

Does the bike have a sidestand switch that cuts the power if the stand is left down? If it does, disconnect it and temporarily join the ends together and try starting....
SOURCE: bike wont start
You have to check the starter motor, prolly the brushes are gone . Also check the connections from battery to the solenoid and from the solenoid to the starter.
Good Luck.

start relay should be checked, if cables are loose or corroded they do not deliver enough power.if jumping the start relay will engage the starter replace the relay.

I had the same problem. Put the bike in gear and rock it forward and back to where you feel it catch. Try starting it again. I found amy starte had a couple worn spots. I was able to use this metod for months. I finally changed my starter a year later.
