Why is my alternator wire smoking?

The alternator for this bike has a built in regulator, which is probably on the fritz, and overcharging the system. You will need a new alternator or rebuild the one you have. Do it soon before it fries the electrics on your biike, and you have to spend major cash,..or it could cause your bike to catch fire!!

Need manual for 1991 gsx 600 katana

This site is the only place that I could find. http://www.genuinesuzukimanuals.com/ I see that they don't offer a manual specifically for the GSX 600 Katana. From my limited experience with Suzuki motorcycles, I've found that the manual for the larger displacement bikes is also relevant to the smaller bikes. I hope this helps.

Good Luck

2002 gsxr, bike sat for 3yrs. rear brake quit working. no pressure to peddle. unable to bleed if possible ? seems like a pressure problem in the master cylinder?

Sound like you've hit the nail on the head. Rebuild master cylinder with new seals, also rebuild rear caliper with new seals, check condition of pistons you may find that they also need replacing.

I'm a first time buyer and i'm intersted in buying what i was told is called a susuki katana 650. Ive ridden before but my knowledge as far as brands and models is concerned is slack. Basically the price...

There are some problems with the alternator which charges the battery. Not a huge problem, but added to the other issues I would pass. Rebuild of carbs will help with the acceleration, but it also sounds like it needs a transmission rebuild as well. It shouldn't pop out of gear it either has bad syncros or gears in the transmission. Cost to fix this will be more than the added price of a newer well running bike. Unless of course you can do it yourself.

Suzuki GSX1400 fork oil viscosity and volume please

There is 644 ml of oil in each leg, Suzuki say L01 type oil. 5W oil should be the equivalent, if you want stiffer suspension us 10w, it really depends on you. Most are happy with 5W oil
