Yamaha vstar 650 2007 turn signals stays solid on and does not blinks after front turn signal replacement to led's.

Hi, i replaced the front turn signal lights of my 2007 yamaha vstar 650 custom to led's and now I'm having a problem. my turn signals are staying on and not flashing when ever I engage the turn switch. I'm not getting hyper flash nor anything. I only replaced the front turn signals to led the back are the incandescent lights. I was reading and I found something about a led flasher relay, but it only mentions that takes case of the hyper flashing issue. If anybody knows how to fix this, I'll greatly appreciated it.

Nigh 50 years ago... I decided I wanted sequential tail lights on my '69 Dodge Charger SE... (looked pretty cool... certainly different).

Changing the center two lights was no biggie... but the FLASHER MODULE went completely nuts on the THIRD LAMP...

I found, (with little difficulty) that FORD had a "timed" commercial
flasher replacement for my cheesy little bi-metal heat unit...

STRAIGH PLUG IN...

All you need to do is find a decent modern equivalent...

Or have a talented friend build you a resistance/capacitive circuit that will approximate the same behavior....

I got my "tip" from JC Whitney...

But I'll bet it is still possible to get them... or ANY TRAILER/TRUCK shop to provide you a PLUG IN SOLUTION...

I'm just saying!

Always gotta be different... Some things never change...

Flashers work buy a set current flow
flasher bulbs are 20 watt or better
by replacing the bulbs with LED ( virtually no current flow ) the flasher will not get enough current to make it flash
you have 2 options
go back ti normal bulbs
get an electronic controlled flasher unit that compensates for the lost current
best talk with an auto electrician as to what you need to fix the problem

Turn signals not working

Ok, consider it kind of like a warning system. You have some blown bulbs and the way it tells you this, it stays solid. The opposite stays off. If it is the back that stays on, then the front bulb is blown and needs to be replaced. Same on all vehicles that use the flasher system.

1998 ford taurus left turn signal blinking fast

Replace the bulb that stays on and doesn't blink, if that doesn't solve the problem, let me know.
