Question about Kymco Motorcycles

WIRING schematic for a Quannon Kymco 2010 125cc I have no wiring harness was given the motor AFTER bike right off and I'm going to put into go cart please help me with a wiring diagram

Any information would be helpful on the wiring, thank you for your time

you need a starter box w/c includes push swtich , install near the handle put attachement to bolt , wiring to starter red in color to box terminal, black wire connect to box terminal direct battery , install fuse depend to the starter amphere , series to black line positive + .connect green wire to the negative -- from battery to body of the strater or ground bolt. then start it. Thanks

im pretty sure these cars were already prewired for fog lights .there should be some plugs behind the bumper to fit them.if not get back i will explain how to wire them up.best of luck.

Hello P Smurf,

Well... don't feel bad...!!
The KIMCO drawing is TRASH (in my humble opinion).

Just start the engine!
- ignition switch on (powers on CDI module)
- short B+ 12V to "S" lead (small terminal on solenoid switch = cranking motor (until it starts (or within reason... do not burn out starter)).

Really... you can short BATTERY to the starter solenoid... as long as you have the ignition on... It SHOULD RUN (if it can).

You only have the REAL two issues you need to start...
Fire & fuel... (everything else is mere confusion).

IGNORE IT ALL... until you get the engine started...!!

I've been reading schematics, circuit drawings, operational diagrams... All of it for more than my adult life... (mere seconds away from 70) amateur radio, patent holder & highly skilled professional... (into full spectrum optics)....

I pulled up the appropriate Kymco "drawing"... and while I'll say it is very pretty (colorful) it is also TOTALLY USELESS...!!
(top reference below... avoid it!).

Whom-so-ever (clown who posted it) that put it together
didn't (still doesn't) know their posterior from 75 cents
(six bits).
I can't even tell if the generator & starter are one-in-the-same
(which would be the first place you want to go...

If you don't have a spark tester just have a friend pull the HIGH-VOLTAGE wire loose enough to see the spark jump...

Else find the CDI Module/Coil... & replace it
(better to get a SPARK test tool...)...
I'm just saying

Comment me back... every tractor & tiller in the world has the same starter circuit
(some just have points & coils in lieu of CDI Modules).

The cart will not go not sure it's wired up right

You need to have a schematic from the manufacturer to wire up this cart. Please go on line with the manufacturer and request a wiring schematic. THe controller controls the output of the battery to the drive motor, but the schematic of the controller can be very different from one to the next.

You start by making a rough drawing of how the wiring looms are routed along the frame of the bike. Do the wires go under or over this tube? That's the question you'll be asking yourself when you get started with the wiring. If you go over the tube only to find that the seat is going to be resting right on the bundle, you'll have to unwire everything to reroute the wires under the tube.

The next thing is to order the new high quality wiring harness and get a schematic. Make sure you know how to read an electrical schematic.

Yes, I've seen complete meltdowns of the entire wiring harnesses before. You're lucky you just blew a fuse. Now you've been given a warning that something is wrong and that you need to locate the problem. I've seen some older bikes that didn't have a fuse or circuit breaker in the wiring harness actually catch on fire because of a short.

Now, depending on what make and model of your bike is, determnes where you need to look. I work mostly on Harley's as that's what I've been working with since 1966. I find Harley's simplier to work on as they don't change as often as the Japanese bikes do. If your bike has a fuse box and it's not blowing any fuses other than the main fuse, the problem is most likely between the battery and that main fuse box. You really need to find a schematic of the wiring on your bike. Good Luck!

No power on my Kymco Zing 125

your best try is to contact your dealer, and get them to order you the short red wire that runs from the + terminal on the battery, to the starter soleniod ( also has a thin red wire that runs to fuse holder) i had exactly the same problem and this solved it. i have however re done all the electrical connections on my bike using 7amp wire and bullet connectors, as i have had many faults with the electrics before.
My bike is a Kymco Cruiser 125 (almost exactly the same bike, i use kymco zing parts when replacing) i paid approx £16 GBP for the wire.
