The fault is somewhere around the EGR valve - probably the EGR valve or the throttle position sensor.

Before replacing any sensors try removing and cleaning the EGR.

car is 10yrs--components wear and git hot causing failure-work when cool-befor computers just an ignition coil or relay wore-now u nevr kno whats next--synthetic oil like amsoil keeps a trans about 50 degree cooler-that helps alot--

See if you can jump start the car from another battery which is sound. If you can then the battery you have is rubbish and must be replaced.

this sounds like you have a problem with the electric fuel pump sticking, that would be where i would look, when u turn the key on with the windows up do u hear a humming noise for about 3 seconds? if not the fuel pump is the problem.
