2013 Gilera runner sp50, it was running fine. I removed the carb and upjetted it, also changed the exhaust, now it won't start, it has spark compression I can see that fuel is getting to the carb.

r u runnin the rite oil-use sae 40 cause u hav valve guide n ring wear--gonna need to do a 'top end'-take cylinder off n recondition or replace these parts-git a repair manual-u may like to do it urself

CRANKSHAFT NUT ON MY GILERA RUNNER SP50 -2007. KEEPS WORKING LOOSE

If the crankshaft nut is the proper one off the scoot then it have a flange on it to stop it from coming loose. It could also be that it's worn by continually loosening & over tightening. Put some threadlock on the crankshaft threads & tighten up the nut, this should stop it from coming loose.

put a new plug in it 1st...see if thats helps....if not check wiring to coil ..it maybe coil or cdi box that as gone..just have to work threw it....but start with new plug 1st

hi the bike has a vac fuel valve on the bottom of the tank or along the fuel line ther is two pipes one is vac one is fuel u need to draw a vac and see if fuel coms from the valve if this ok you need to clean the carb out make sure thers no dirt or water in the bottom of the carb

My 1999 gilera runner 50cc cut out on me,now it won't start

Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Is there any water or trash in the bowl? Drain a cup of gas from the tank. Is there any water or trash in the cup? Dump it and clean it. With the gas valve turned off, does gas still get past the valve? If it does, then you need to replace the valve. Re-mount the bowl, ( not all bikes have a water trap bowl ). Always turn the gas off when not riding the bike. If the valve will not fully shut off the gas then a leak-down condition can occur and cause gas to get to the exhaust pipe.

Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower side of the carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carb to fill with gas. Install a new stock NGK spark plug and try to start the engine. If the bike doesn't start and run properly then shut off the gas and remove the carburetor from the engine.

Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Remove the idle screw and the air screw on the outside throat of the
carb and spray into the screw holes as well.

Be sure to put these two screws back in the same hole they came out of. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two adjusters down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each adjuster one and one half turns outward. Put the rest of the
carb back together, clean the air filter and install the carb. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine. This process should get you back on the road.
