Remove from car, carefully scrape crud from inside of passages being careful not to damage valve seat, spray out with carb cleaner, allow to soak, repeat, then spray out with compressed air. Check all hoses and passages on engine too.

You need a new idle air control valve located under the throttle body. I know somebody did the cleaning and its work, but it's very tight to remove it out. You can do a search on " RX idle air control valve"

My lexus gs300 will start but will not stay crunck unless the air is on and when you drive it with the air on it makes a loud noise. What is this?

WHen you turn on the a/c, the computer kciks up the idle speed to compensate for th load of the compressor on the engine. That tells me your idle air control is not wrking electrically or hte passages are plugged.

My 1999 Lexus RX 300 suddenly will not maintain an idle when I remove my foot from the accelerator. It runs fine otherwise but it will no longer start and maintain an idle if I do not keep my right foot on...

could be the idle air control valve. if you remove your air intake tubing and can see into the throttle body just check to see if its dirty. if it is try to clean it with an aerosol spray can of carby cleaner. good luck.

Its a Oil Control Valve most likely. Get the valve. Its like 100 from Lexus. Mine did the exact same thing with that code. GS300
