You can check ebay for parts or look for a motorcycle junk yard in your area to see if the have a working one. also try searching for a website that still produces parts that the dealer does not. Like partsnmore.com the ignition switch assembly with key should be $13.00plus tax and shipping. Thats where I get my parts i cant find anywhere else.

SOURCE: Where is the oil filter on a Yamaha XT 125?

if you take off the clutch cover and look to the bottom right of the engine you will see a black ruber strip. Pull this out and thats your oil filter. Unlike your usual filters you can just clean it and place back in.

SOURCE: 2000 yamaha vstar 1100 custom. starter problem?

I had the same problem 2001 XVS1100 Custom
this is a starter issue Over time the starter on this bike twists when its under a load.
Look at the two bolts holding the starter on if they are not straight across then its twisted. turn starter back in line with a pair of big channel locks and try to start this should do the trick if this works i would recommend taking the two bolts out and bend them back straight or replace and reinstall starter this should fixya problem

Hope this helps ...............Jimmyfixya

SOURCE: i have a yamaha dirt bike that someone stole and

Check the igniter. Go back to the dealer and ask him to see one. Then go back and find it on your bike. Yamaha's usually have them under the seat, or left side. But I don't know exactly what year you have. Run the VIN on the frame under my tips and tricks is a web site that'll break it down for you.

Missing ignition start switch for 1981 yamaha xj650 maxim, what's the amp required to start it? Having trouble finding the right momentary switch to install

Starting doesn't go through the ignition switch it goes through the starter solenoid and the ignition switch controls that solenoid only about 5 amps.

I have a 2013 yamaha xt 250 with 6 miles on it and the clutch suddenly quit working. Any ideas?

This is a strange fault with a new bike. What happened when you pulled in the clutch lever? The clutch is unlikely to be stuck after that period because its internal and runs in oil anyway. You need to better explain what you were doing at the time. Was it running and you couldn't get it into gear? Yamaha's are great bikes and at 6 miles I'm a bit baffled.
