Ive just rebuilt the bike and all spares are imported originals from japan but now i find the ignition control switch is obsolete and now what can i replace it with
You can check ebay for parts or look for a motorcycle junk yard in your area to see if the have a working one. also try searching for a website that still produces parts that the dealer does not. Like partsnmore.com the ignition switch assembly with key should be $13.00plus tax and shipping. Thats where I get my parts i cant find anywhere else.

if you take off the clutch cover and look to the bottom right of the engine you will see a black ruber strip. Pull this out and thats your oil filter. Unlike your usual filters you can just clean it and place back in.

this is a starter issue Over time the starter on this bike twists when its under a load.
Look at the two bolts holding the starter on if they are not straight across then its twisted. turn starter back in line with a pair of big channel locks and try to start this should do the trick if this works i would recommend taking the two bolts out and bend them back straight or replace and reinstall starter this should fixya problem

Check the igniter. Go back to the dealer and ask him to see one. Then go back and find it on your bike. Yamaha's usually have them under the seat, or left side. But I don't know exactly what year you have. Run the VIN on the frame under my tips and tricks is a web site that'll break it down for you.
