My 1999 fireblade is over heatin i av wired the fan so it stays on but still overheatin the rad is coolin but the engine isnt any ideas could it be the thermostat and if so where is it lcated any info would be gratefull as i need this bike for work every day thanks
It look likes it is your thermostat. It is located underneath the carbs, behind the engine block. It is inside an aluminium housing. You can strip the housing, cut the valve of the thermostat and put it back together. It will keep you going until you replace it. Just be gentle with the bike until it's fully warm, it will take longer without the stat.

Dyno kit supplies you extra carb needles which are useless in street use. They are only for racing use.If the previous owner installed them then you should put the stock ones back. Also reset your carbs (vacuum pressure, mixture screws)

Either on the back of the radiator or on the fill neck with the radiator cap, you will find two switches. The switch with one wire is the temperature sender for the gauge. The switch with two wires going to it is the fan switch. That is the switch that turns the fan on and off depending on how hot the engine gets. Most Honda fan switches do not turn on until the temperature gauge is licking the red .
