When you go for the 600 mile check up, tell the dealer the crackling noise is expanding and contracting of new exhaust , and change the oil dino oil for the first 1500 miles, then you can change to full syn., and change the oil hot after a good ride

The starter relay needs replaced. If you follow the + wire from the battery, it goes into a box with a + wire on the other side of it. If you jump power across the two wires, it should start

SOURCE: I have a problem with my Kymco People 150.

Hi
The engine is heating up.
You need to change the engine oil.
This is a forced air cooled motorcycle... clean all open ports from where the air enters the engine.. this is located just under the seat / floor where you rest your foot.

SOURCE: after re-building my 150 (08) scootcoupe engine

Hi! I strongly suggest that you put in a genuine kymco crank assembly. Since you made some modifications, a kymco crank may resolve this. Since it's a trial and error thing for a modified scooter, the genuine crank will be close enough on resolving this. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Hi ice_basher

You need to check the following

1) . The carborator & air filter are proper or not.
2). The race & pickup is adjusted or not.
3). Ask your mechanic to chk the power output in bhp. Match it with the pescribed one.
4). The accelerator & clutch are properly working or not.

Your problem can be because of any of these. Please do a through check.

i had a semilar problem on my Kymco and i found that my fuse was not making proper contact.

what i did:the fuse im talking about is the small fuse in a "bottle" like cylinder in the positive power of the battery, the conection points in this little cylinder worn out and the fuse couldnt make contact any more i took the fuse out completely just linked the wires with lugs and my bike is working fine.

How do i deristrict my bike??

i wouldn't reconmend it but it can be done by , putting on a "slightly" bigger carb , fitting a racing exhaust and racing cdi , this advaces timing , this next part trades acceleration for top speed this is done by putting on a "slightly" bigger front spocket eg by 1 or 2 teeth

I HAVE A 91 SEDAN DEVILLE.4.9 PORT FUEL INJECTION V8. I HAVE PLENTY OF ACCELERATION FROM STOP TO 20-30MPH. BUT WHEN I AM AT ANY CRUISE SPEED AND STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR IT HESITATES AND DOES NOT...

Sounds like a malfunctioning egr system. Too much egr gasses at once will lean out the air fuel mixture and cause hesitation in an engine. Just my 2 cents.

you know many things will cause this problem, but i recomend you to start with the cranshaft position sensor have it replace and look for some ignition coils may be use coils will be fine
but when a vehicle does not have spark plugs serviced a least every 30000 miles then the current coming from coils start taking plug wires and then the coils because there is a lot of power coming fron the coils it is between 12 to 50k volts
any way try first the crank sensor like i told you and let me know
