So i've recently run into a problem where the bike

If it was a two cycle I'd say it was clogged exhaust ports. But you have a pretty exotic bike. So I guess it's a timing issue dealing with the exhaust Ox sensors.

I have a 125 pit bike and it ticks over fine but when you rev it it backfires does any body no how to fix it.

You can check ur values but some bike do make a we ticking from the values and it will back fire when revved up because of the extra fuel once revved that hasn't brine burn as it revs back down to idle speed.

Bought the Bike Used from a HD Dealer 2004 XL1200C Sportster. 2400 Miles 2nd time I took the Bike for a ride It was Slamming into Gears Very Loudly, Had the Clutch adjusted and Gasket Replaced, Next Time...

check for the pinched vacuum line at the carb,, sportys are hard to locate because they are tucked in way behind , it ay have come disconnected, unless there is a load on the motor it will idle fine, add a little load and you get the feeling no fuel is getting through unless you rev it up

Idling good start good but stalls if pressing throtle

there is a piece of debris floating around in the sediment bowl of your carburetor, its lodged in the high speed jet causing it to stumble and backfire......it will most likely need a carb rebuild average repair cost on this machine is around 150 dollars at a reputable polaris dealer

Last time I STARTED MY VSTAR 1100 I CHOKED IT FOR 10 SECONDS ON HIGH THEN MOVED TO MEDIUM CHOKE FOR 4 THEN TOOK OFF AT NO CHOKE. 2 WEEKS LATER. I started up bike Choke on high bike barely wanted to idle...

Sounds like your flooding it out with the choke out. Try the next time you go to start the bike when it's cold with the choke out and when it starts push the choke all the way in and keep it running with the throtle. If it runs better after doing this then your flooding it on start up. Use 1/2 choke to start cold and see what it does. Good Luck

1995 pontiac bonneville stalls

I just went through lots of troubleshooting and expense on my 1996. Whenever I would lift my foot off the accelerator and was below about 30 mph, the rpm's would starts jumping around and sometimes it would stall. If I gave it a little gas (accelerator), I could sometimes keep it running. It also backfired once in a while. Starts right back up. Also, if I let it idle while in part, it would die after 1-2 minutes.

I ended up finding a hole in the fuel regulator. About a ~$70 part if you get an AC Delco, but very simple to change.
