SOURCE: fuse box

The main fuse is under the panel on the right side behind the forks and the rest of the fuses are in the crank case under the cover...where you fill the oil.

SOURCE: Clutch bleed on a Suzuki 1400 Intruder 2000

One the left-hand side of the bike (facing forward), there is cover plate just ahead of the drive shaft. Remove that cover (mine has 8mm bolts). The bleeder valve is under this cover. Go to an auto parts store and get a "one man bleeder kit" or if you have some plastic tubing that will fit over the valve, you can use that and a clean jar. Follow the instructions on the bleeder kit, or if you're using the jar and tubing, fill the jar about a quarter of the way with break fluid (use DOT4, but never DOT5!). Take the cover off the master cylinder up at the handlebars, place the tube over the end of the bleed valve (after loosening it a turn or two. Place the other end of the tube down in the break fluid in the jar. Work the clutch lever until you stop getting bubbles in the jar. Be sure to keep the fluid level up in the reservoir. Tighten the bleeder valve, remove the tubing, top off the fluid and replace the covers.

Be careful not to get brake fluid on anything. It will eat paint and mess up other things.

SOURCE: how do i replace the head gasket on my Suzuki

To replace the head gasket disconnect the battery, remove the tank, remove the rocker cover. Manually turn the crank shaft until the engine is on top dead center compression stroke and the lines on the cam shaft gears are even with the top of the cylinder head. At that point evenly loosen the bolts that hold the cam shaft. Do one cam shaft at a time. Before you remove the second cam shaft tie a piece of wire to the cam chain then let the chain fall into the hole after removing the second cam. Loosen the carburator mounts and slide the carburators back so they are free of the engine. Now you can evenly loosen the head bolts and then remove the head. Check the head and cylinder for signs of warping or why the gasket needs to be changed. When you replace the head gasket make sure the gasket fits over the guide pins. Reassembly is essentially reverse of the disassembly. After you get the head torqued to specs, you will be glad you fought that wire attached to the cam chain when you start to install the cams. Make sure each cam goes back from where you took it from and the lines line up like they were before you took them out. Don't forget to install a new gasket on the rocker box.

SOURCE: Suzuki intruder 1500 charging system

You need to buy a volt meter and set it on 10, or 20 v-. Start the bike and see what it says. A good charging system will show 13-14+ volts. If the meter says 11-12 volts or does not change, you have a bad stator, or rect/reg. Take to a shop to have it further tested. Chaz Moto DC

Suzuki intruder 1500 LC I have problem with carburator need to rebuild is a kit available? motorcycle.runs terrible backfires sputters poor gas mileage 135km to atank of gas

Intruder carbs are notorious for this issue. What you have going on is that the needle seat has become worn out. The problem is, that this carb was designed with pressed in needle seats that cannot be removed. You will need to search online for an intruder carb rebuilder that can press in the seats for you, as well as change the seals, replace the needle, check the diapragm and jets, and replace/clean the floats. OR, you can try to find new carbs online from a wrecked or used Intruder 1500 VL.

Valve cover gasket

The rocker cover gaskets can be changed with the engine installed. There are some low profile tools available to make getting to some of the bolts easier.
