1998 kawasaki coolant hoses are leaking

You likely have leaking head gaskets.

Gasket,check coolant level,how low is.intake manifold look around from top on side.Up to $1000.00 to fix.try head gasket fix.I did works good no problems.$30.00 to $50.00.

Was the smoke white? if so it is probably your head gasket you can still save it if you want as long as the head isnt cracked as well then it probably just isn't worth fixing and from the sounds of it sorry to say but I cant be sure with out seeing it

TO FIX COOLANT LEAK.YOU HAVE TO LOCATE IT.BEST TIME FIND COOLANT LEAK WAIT UNTIL MORNING.ADD COOLANT UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL IN RADIATOR CORRECT. START THE ENGINE LET IDLE UNTIL START GETTING HOT.THEN TURN OFF ENGINE.COOLANT PRESSURE WILL PUSH COOLANT OUT WHERE LEAKS ARE.CHECK TOP RADIATOR HOSE AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE.CHECK AROUND RADIATOR LOOK DOWN BELOW COOLANT FAN AREA BEHIND RADIATOR.LOOK FOR LEAKS AT RADIATOR CORES AND SIDE CONTAINERS.CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS AROUND WATER PUMP GASKET OR WEEP HOLE.CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS AROUND HEATER HOSES AND HEATER CORE.CHECK ENGINE CRANKCASE FOR COOLANT LEAKS.

ENGINE NOT GOING TO START IF GET TOO HOT FIRST THING I WOULD REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP THEN ADD COOLANT UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL CORRECT THATS WHEN THERMOSTAT OPEN UP AND TOP HOSE HOT.CHECK FOR LEAKING RADIATOR HOSES CHECK TOP RADIATOR HOSE CHECK BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE.CHECK FOR LEAKS AROUND THE RADIATOR LOOK DOWN BELOW COOLANTS FANS CHECK FOR LEAKS AT RADIATOR CORES OR LEAKS AT THE RADIATOR PLASTIC SIDE CONTAINERS. CHECK FOR LEAKS AT WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE AND CHECK FOR LEAKS AT THE HEATER HOSES AROUND ENGINE BLOCK TO THE HEATER CORE HOSES. THERE IS A REASON CAR OVERHEAT.IF CAR OVERHEAT WHILE DRIVING YOU HAVE FAULTY THERMOSTAT OR LEAKING OUT COOLANT OR BLOWN HEAD GASKET.IF ENGINE OVER HEAT WHILE SITTING DURING A LONG IDLING PERIOD.YOU COULD HAVE FAULTY COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OR FAULTY COOLING FAN FUSE OR RELAY.HOT WIRE COOLANT TO SEE IF IT RUNS IF NO REPLACE FAN MOTOR. IF YES FAN MOTOR COULD HAVE FAULTY WIRE OR PCM FAILURE. CHECK ENGINE CRANKCASE IF OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK SHAKE ENGINE HEAD GASKET LEAKING.

remove the coolant at the bottom drain valve, then remove the bottom radioator hose also the top radiator hose, make sure its park at the steet or curb. put a garden hose on the top radiator hose holding up with a rag around the hose and radiator hose so it wont leak the pressure. and just let the bottom empty all that **** out. i done this to so many cars to clean up all the built up between the guides. hope this helps you k!!!

IF the coolant leak is on the right side of the engine near the top of the trans,inspect the coolant hoses for the heater core. This is common leak point on the 98 exped. Thankyou Please rate this info

try a new thermostat, check for leaks, old or dilute coolant will not cause overheating

Check the radiator hoses for a leak. The splatter was most likely the coolant/anti-freeze leaking from one of the hoses. Loss of coolant would make the temp rise and the engine overheat. If the hoses are good, look for seepage around the waterpump. These are the main causes for coolant loss.

Drain coolant from the cooling system. White plastic drain plug in bottom of radiator.

take off bottom rad. hose and top rad hose.

All wrenches and sockets are either 10 or 12 mm. Remove air shroud from around radiator and fan.
Sometimes its easier to remove fan too.

If its an automatic, remove 2 rubber hoses at bottom of rad.

remove 4 bolts top and bottom that hold rad. in place.

reverse order of parts. Fill with coolant and check for leaks.

That is the basics of it.
