I have a 1993 honda cb 250. Battery was dead and dead but i could jump start it and or push and pop clutch and get it going. I got a new battery and installed correctly but will not hold charge.

Check and see if magneto is charging.
my just be putting out enough to run lights.
or there is a diode that prevents it from discharging.
after riding make sure there is enough charge to start the bike. Disconnect the battery, come back in the morning if the battery starts bike then the diode is probably shot and allowing magneto to discharge battery

No spark on honda superdream where to start

Check your battery and check to see if the points are in good shape. Sometimes these would either weld together or get corroded. You may be able to run a bit of sandpaper between them if that is the case. If your points are OK, and your battery is charged, you may need to replace your coil.

I just replaced my battery on my 1995 Nighthawk and the power isn't coming back on. I checked the fuses and they looked okay. I don't really know where else to look.

Two things real quick, (I know they sound simple and patranizeing, but you'ld be suprized how many times somebody has brought a bie to me and had these things wrong).

1) double check that your battery is not hooked up backwards. make sure the positive cable is hooked tho the positive wire and the negative is grounded.

2) make sure the battery has been charged, not all new batteries come charged.

If niether of those issues are present, start following the wireing to look for bad connections. If a connection looks questionable, fix it.

Good luck.

None of the electrics are working on my 2001 CB 250. Indicators, Headlight, Starters, brake lights are no longer working. Is this an alternator or a battery problem?

Sounds more like a fuse problem to me. It could be your Battery, start by checking the fuses. Then the battery terminals, then get the battery checked. An auto-electrician will do it in a couple of seconds and rarely charges for the service. Go to this site and get a freebie manual, it could come in handy:

My 2005 honda cb250 wont start, it turns on and makes a slight clicking noise when starting then wont do it and the lights dim, is it just my battery that needs charged?

sounds like it, the battery needs a large amount of current to be turned over, try charging it up, i think it will solve your problems

Replaced battery now there is no power to the bike

Put the battery in backwards? test light says theres power the charger will show a wide open battery this open (hollow) to be fully charged and it'll be bad and then if put in backwards the main fuse may be blown

Honda CB 250 1998-will not start, just clicking, battery is ok

Hi, Your problem lies with the starter solenoid, although you maybe using a fully charged battery to jump it, it appears to be sticking or possibly faulty due to trying to start with poor battery.
The starter solenoid is usually located on or near the Battery compartment, it is cylindrical and has two heavy wires attached to it 1 goes to the starter motor the other to the battery. If you are carefull you can by pass the solenoid by touching the heavy wire going to the starter motor with the jumper lead. Make sure the jump battery is connected and both the NEGATIVE leads are well secure. Put the NEGATIVE lead from jump cable direct to a engine mount bolt or engine itself Not the battery.
