what motor?
the car with a zillion names world wide. amazing it is.
huge numbers of engines and EFI types. posting the country helps.
no one ever does, but there,,, i said it. Gobsmake me....
I will post the pargraph from wiki so show the idea of just USA
"Suzuki marketed a rebadged Lacetti as the Forenza and Reno beginning in the United States in 2004-following the end of Daewoo's
North American operations in 2002 and replacing the
Daewoo Nubira station wagon and
sedan. The Forenza/Reno falls between the
Aerio (later
SX4) and the now-discontinued
Verona. In the territories of
Guam and
Northern Mariana Islands, it was sold as a Chevrolet Optra, but it was only available as a sedan.
The US model line features the 2.0 L 4-cylinder
E-TEC II made by General Motors, developing a maximum power of 132 horsepower at 5600
rpm.
7 engine or more world wide, you vin code not posted.
is the first clue to asking for help or parts. for the reasons above.
A weak stab at this....
But lost engine power.
if in fact its the engine and not the transmission slipping?
eg;engine rpm rise to normal but not car speed? tranny !
is the check engine light on , key on and does it go out running?
if not , pull the scan codes now.
no power.
1: bad fuel
2: bad engine, lost compression.
3: never tuned up, bad spark, clogged fuel and air filters.
antique spark plugs?
you mean the engine runs fine at idle not the car,?
4: bad cam belt or higher mileage (unstated) chain, or related parts.
5: low fuel pressure. 30 is normal, 1 PSI , hopeless.
6: if car has a MAF, a bad MAF. (no engine stated)
7: Melted CAT converter, if in usa,but you did not disclose that.
8: EGR stuck wide open but WOT will hide this but does not.
wot means wide open throttle , in gear up a hill. say...
we fix these easy ,with simple tools.
we can do that tests.
but so far no engine type or country stated./
if serious , most here are not, post back.
most posts here are wits end. then nothing....
