443433 Serial number, value, year made?

Impossible to ID most bikes by serial number alone, let alone assign a value without knowing condition, amount of original parts, etc. Do a little work yourself - Google "(brand/model) serial number" (without quotes) or at least tell us what kind of bike it is. See my tip:
How to determine the year value etc of your bicycle

I have a vintage road bike with the serial number 2940058 that is stamped beneath the bottom bracket. I have not had any luck locating the type of bike which my cousin gave to me.

A bike is not "vintage" just because it's old, and ID'ing by serial number, especially one that is all numbers, is not possible without more info. Please see my Tip for more guidance:

Can i tell from engine number what year & CC engine is? supposed to be GSXR 750 2000

the tenth digit in your vin# is the year.
so your 2000 should be a Y.

1998 W
1999 X
2000 Y
2001 1
2002 2

At the bottom of the Cylinder you'll see a the number which indicates the size.
for example the bottom of the cylinder reads 248 means its a 250
Bottom of the cylinder is the bottom of the jug,
The numbers will either be on the left or right side, not the front or back of the jug.

I got a dirt bike and I don't know what brand it is.

I suggest you contact Honda concerning the authenticity of your documentation and serial numbers. Is there a MC shop in your town? Visit them.
