SOURCE: poor running suzuki gsf 650

hi m8,, 1st u need to check the timing with a time light gun,, and trottle the bike to 7000rpm, and see if the timing marks change as u r pointing the gun at it, if they do move ,,adjustment is needed, ,if all is ok u can do a test by taking a plug spanner with u,,and riding the bike up the road, trottle it to 7000rpm,and soon as it stutters hit the kill switch and coast to a stop,, wipp a spark plug and check the colour of the plug, ,u have to look at each plug tho,, if one plug is different colour to the others ,,then the cylinder that plug came from is the problem point,,, another solution is to get your carbs balanced ,,id advise u do this 1st really b4 doin timing check,, cheers

SOURCE: "pinging" sound on acceleration

I have same bike but not any problems with valves. I had a shop adjust them on my 10,000 mile service. All is good. I have been running regular gas from day 1. Did you try premium gas?

2001 SUZUKI ESCUDO (GRAND VITARA). My vehicle can't slow down after drive 70 -80 km if I slow engine off and cant start up without accelerating.

Correct. When you turn off the engine you lose the engine vacuum to the brake boost assist. No brakes. Can't accelerate with engine off.

2012 elantra, white smoke and loss of power during heavy acceleration, pinging noise in valves. Does not seem to be losing any coolant

pinging ( detonation) is from lean mixture ( white smoke)( heated oxygen sensor/s in the exhaust manifold /s), incorrect ignition timing
The lack of power could be a valve timing problem from the advance mechanism being faulty
best to have the fault codes read to determine the problem area first

When pressing on the accelerator my safari bogs down and starts to lose power.

Sounds like the accelerator linkage or kick down band of the transmission need adjustment.

No power up hills and pinging noises come from TBI little back fire.

Sounds like the knock sensor has failed. It's on the passenger side at the bottom of the engine block, in front of the starter. One wire going to it. Have you checked the timing lately, maybe it has moved?
