STOP/ TRN fuse #12 20amp, location - in the instrument panel fuse box. Is this the one? Fuse blows because you have a short circuit on the wiring that fuse protects. Do you know what that is?

Turn Signal Lamps
The STOP/TURN fuse in the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the body control module (BCM) for the turn signal lamps. When the turn switch is placed in the left or right position, ground is applied to the BCM on the left or right turn signal switch signal circuit. The BCM then applies voltage to the appropriate front and rear supply voltage circuits.

Grounds for the various lamps are as follows:

• G100 supplies the right front lamps

• G101 supplies the left front lamps

• G400 supplies the right rear lamps

• G401 supplies the left rear lamps

03 s10 turn signal fuse keeps blowing

the turn signal circuits are shorted,,the fuse blowing saved you from a fire.(burning harnesses)
faili on left or right or both and HAZARDS? SORRY 3 fuses to learn that.
USA answers, Chevy S10 only
there are 2turn fuses, I see, in the schematics.
LT-turn and RT-turn, so now you know which side is shorted. just a glance and bingo , side. bad know, cutting work in ;1/2.
but, there is 10amp turn fuse too, that runs the turn flasher module
so 4fuses, turn left and turn, main and haz main.
this is bad.

turn-undefined-undefined-0.jpg any thing in this whole turn system can blow fuse turn main, BLK.
but learning if only one side fails ,is great moment,
if both fails, the problem is this module or the turn swtich is shorted.

Help: 1994 Toyota land Cruiser: left turn signal works but when I turn the right turn signal on it blows the 7.5 amp fuse disabling the turn signals.

Jason you are going to have to go to the right hand indicator bulb and note what color wires are used on it. Then you are going to need to examine the wiring loom to see if that wire is shorting with the body of the car from back of the vehicle to fuse panel and from front to fuse panel. Also look at relay and check wiring is not exposed to the body of the car or another wire .

Why does my turn signal/ hazard light fuse keep blowing out

you have a short in one of the light sockets or a worn wire from the wiring harness. could be the flasher assembly. are the turn signals different bulbs from the brake lights? Does using the brakes blow the fuse? (Rear lights or brake light switch on brake pedal). left or right turn signal blowing the fuse will tell which side has the short. 4 ways only, replace the relay.

My left turn signal works fine, why when I turn the right signal on it blows the fuse.

Remove the right front and rear turn signal bulbs. If it still blows a fuse take it to your mechanic to find / fix the short circuit. If it does not blow the fuse, replace the bulbs. You may of course also replace the bulbs one at a time to narrow it further as to which one.

Right turn signal possible short

the wire is shorted.

trailer hitch hack job.

collision damage to rear.? wrecked the harness.

why would the flasher be bad, if left side front and rear works perfectly

we use a 15amp circuit breaker to replace the flasher fuse.

then find the short, (beaker keeps popping) when right turns are selected.

is this car under warranty?

did some one put in an illegal larger fuse in this circuit? dont

its a simple shorted line

we have a thing (real edison like) called an ammeter

we can measure the actual short, all look here its 15amps

just as the breaker trips, bingo city

then all we do is start pulling all inline connectors to find the section that is shorted, front or rear.

does that help?:

My rear right turn signal does not work. The indicator light on the dash for the right turn signal flashes quicker then usual. Looking at the fuse panel, I don't know which fuse works the rear right turn...

Usually when the signal is blinking fast it just means the bulb is broken, disconnected, or the wire may have a short or break in it. take care and good luck. Especially if the front one is working.

When using the right hand turn signal blows fuse

If there's one thing that gets my shorts in a bunch it's trying to track down a short circuit. I had a 79 Trans Am that did the exact same thing that you described. With out looking at it I would say that there is an exposed wire that causes short circuit. It may be in the turn signal switch, or even somewhere in the steering column.

I have 1998 S70. The turn signal fuse blows. I

The flasher unit will not cause an overload in the circuit.Activate the four way flasher and if the fuse does not trip then it appears there is a short in either the left or right signal circuit when the steering wheel is turned. The position of the steering wheel will determine which side is shorting out if this is the cause
