We just got a 2000 Yamaha Kodiak. Idle is too low. Have to give some throttle always or will stall. Is there a idle adjustment screw somewhere? We couldn't find one PS - Picked the "FZS 400 Fazer" as a model cause it was the first 400 listed that matched with a 2000 model year. Have no idea what its official model number is. Not on the registration, got it 2 days ago.

Yea if your sitting on it there should be a plastic screw on the carburetor that runs to the other side you can adjust it with your hand as it is big enough to turn by hand have it running and adjust it to your liking

The idle adjustment is on the right hand side of the carb. there should be a knob to adjust the idle, if not you will have to remove the 3 screws on side of carb to adjust.

Sir, what is the starting adjustments on a Poluan 2000 Carb

Typical for any carburetor is 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns (out). These are just rough settings to get the saw running. Remove chain, turn idle throttle speed screw in to increase idle rpms so its less likely to stall. Follow mfg instructions for starting.

Once running, adjust low speed mix and allow a couple minutes to warm. Then re-adjust low speed and lower idle rpms by turning out idle throttle speed screw. Then with throttle wide open adjust high speed mix. If saw hesitates from idle to full throttle, open low speed mix 1/8 turn and readjust high speed mix.

If saw doesn't fire in 3 or 4 pulls remove plug. If plug is dry no fuel, if wet either no spark or idle mix to rich (or fuel metering may be fouled).

2005 v star 1100 stalls when i come to a stop, it seem like i got to give throttle all the time?

this is just your idle adjustment. all you have to do is let the engine warm up to operating temp., then raise the idle. you may need to remove your air intake and filter to get to the adjusting screws. they are usually on the side of the carburetor, right in the center. they may be somewhere else though. some carb's have a cable mounted near the carb to adjust the idel. im not familiar with your specific model. but once you determine where the idle screw(s) are, turn them in clockwise with the engine running. go about 1/4 turn at a time until it will stay running without having to give it throttle.
