If possible, please transfer the lights to another working bike and check if the lights work when that bike is turned on. If so, then your bike needs to be repaired (might need old wires changed) before your lights and horn will function again.
Check harness connectors to rear signals...should be under the seat on top of fender on most bikes...may be affecting flasher load so it doesn't cycle properly.
Also check the flasher relay itself for a loose or dirty connector.
I have a 94 virago that had that problem last year. First, is your starter switch releasing all the way out? Mine was sticking. Also the regulator-rectifier needed replacing, as it was no longer damping the current, which leads to surges, especially when revved. If you have a manual it will tell you how to check the current running through the bike. Replacing the regulator is cheap and easy even for me with my limited bike knowledge! Hope this helps. Charlie.
hi,generally speaking yes, they have a very forgiving engine with gentle power delivery(no sudden surges of power like sports bikes)they are also very comfy to ride and yet even though it is only a 250 it will cruise quite comfortably at highway speed..enjoy..hope this helps
You should be able to access the speedo and tac lights via the rear of the console. Check the bulbs and replace if required. If this does not help, please reply or further information
Ok, if the odometer is working,,, then the cable is doing what it is supposed to do and has no problem. There is a malfunction inside the speedometer itself. You can look to see if there is a company in your area who specialize in this sort of repair or you can just buy another speedometer and replace it. That's the size of it.
