I have a 92 s10 2.8. it idles rough and spits and sputters till a high rpm. every sensor is new and the timing is good

check for vacuum leaks,the throttle position sensor and the map sensor to see if they are working correctly.

Code 37 is torque converter clutch solenoid failure. Transmission wont shift in and out of overdrive.

Recheck your firing order for basics. If this is in good, a compression test may be necessary. Which enigine do you have?

When the "spits and sputters" happen are you in low rpm? Can you "by-pass" the sputtering by accelerating? Has your gas mileage suffered?

try replacing the throttle position sensor

requiresa a litte knowledge to analize the info the computer is giving you ? not being smartelec just these cars generally only had minor issues with this condition either the converter was clogged or the mass airflow meter failing both are easy find with proper scanner so you may want to spend the $50 to get it tested good luck

Clean out clogged fuel injectors

Vacuum leaks. Check all hoses and intake bolts. Leaking EGR or plugged PCV valve. Air filter plugged. Leaking head gasket. Worn timing chain. Camshaft lobes worn. Valves burned or leaking. Fuel idle control system or sensor. Good luck!

The first thing you need is to have the unit scanned. Check things like the baro sensor,map sensor,coolant temp. and the TP sensor.Also check your fuel pressure,volume and injector spray pattern.
