You will find using a premium fuel or an additive will rectify this is over time. If using standard Unleaded fuel will dry out the valves making this noise. Noise is more noticable after using Ethanol / Blended fuels.

SOURCE: 2006 Roadliner generator noise when cold.

My roadliner has been in the shop for a month while they tried to isolate a similar noise. After several failed attempts, they claim to have solved it by replacing the regulator. I will pick up the bike tomorrow and see for myself.

SOURCE: how do you adj this cutch it just started sliping

The clutch on the Roadliner is Hydraulic. I am pretty sure it is not adjustable. Make sure you are running the proper oil in the engine. Car oil can make the clutch slip and if it is slipping it may need to be replaced.

I am also a Roadliner owner.

the clock is set by holding the button down on the clutch side of the handlebars until your display blinks. The you use the front brake side to adjust the time.

Under the crank case. Just take a small mirror & watch the bottom of the crankcase. You can locate the hexagon bolt in the reflection view.

How do I change the battery in a 2006 Roadliner

First find out where it is located. Then remove the necessary parts to get at it. Seat, plastic panels etc. Unfasten the bolt for the battery box, then unscrew the battery terminals and remove the batt.

I explained here in detail... but that was hard, as this is literally the simplest thing to do on any motorcycle.
