Engine and battery lights on, flstni - 2005 Harley Davidson FLSTN- FLSTNI Softail Deluxe

like all motorcycles.
they have a large set of starter blocking devices.
each can fail and do .
the service manual covers all this, for sure and only it does.
by year and model Harley. buy one?
the starter permissive's are. (switches) "a generic answer"

1. clutch engaged
2. neutral (transmission )
3. kick stand up.
4. battery good now weak, lugs tight and not rusty.
5. key good & switch (key)
6. starter relay good.
7. starter good (means with solenoid too)
8. engine not seized.

we use a volt meter to find this, easy it is.
the point of failure is found every time,.with a meter.

sounds like the main fuse

20w-50 in the engine, and I use the dealers primary and transmission oil

Your bike has a 12 Volt 18 AH battery.

No power at all? No head light? Bad/very low battery, or blown "maxi fuse". Recharge/replace/recheck.

Sounds like the battery has gone out on you.

buy a battery trickle charger [ebay has them]they have a setup for just that purpose & it maintains the battery at a premuim level
thus extending its life span & no more hard starting dramas
