Oxygen sensors are mounted either side of the catalytic converter. Number 1 is mounted before the cat in the down pipe and the Number 2 is in the exhaust pipe just after the cat, think the number 2 is the downstream.

SOURCE: Location of oil filter on Nissan Altima 2005

The oil filter is located behind the right (passenger) inner fender cover. It is right next to the crankshaft pulley at the bottom of the front of the engine facing toward the right front wheel. I do not have a picture at this time.

Hope this is helpful!

It is small and round (2 wire connector) and located either in the flexiable air intake hose to the engine or in the engine air filter housing.

SOURCE: How do I change brake light bulb on 2005 Nissan Altima

The first objective is to figure out which bulb you need. I had to replace the bulb for the largest light which was a Sylvania 3157. The next objective is to remove the dang plastic carpet holder/net clip. Recognize that it is a two part piece. Use a flathead screwdriver for leverage. Pry the cap off by levering the screwdriver in the slot on the holder. Then go behind the carpet and pinch the plastic pin still holding the holder in place. Next, pry off the while plastic pieces from the two bolt/nuts you'll need to remove (see manual). Remove the nuts and give the two screws a push from the inside so you can see how the whole light casing comes off. Pry it off from the outside. On the backside of the bulb holder, turn bulb base counterclockwise and gently remove. Pull bulb upward and replace. Do not touch glass on new bulb with your fingers (wear non-powdered rubber gloves). Make sure the bulb snaps in place. Follow these instructions in reverse. Smile, you just learned something new and saved yourself some easy money.

I KNOW THAT I NEED A O2 OXYGEN SENSOR I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE

As the most common oxygen sensor to fail and it controls the air /fuel mixture , is the heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
I would be looking at that sensor first
prices range from $20.00 to close to $100.00 depending on the make or if you use after market parts

1998 nissan altima trouble code p0135

The code P0135 means O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 1. This means you most likely have a bad O2 sensor. The possible causes are:

TT - Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1
- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit fuse
- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit open shorted to ground
- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) Usually the code indicates a bad Oxygen sensor, but an intake vacuum leak or a failing fuel pump can cause the code, so check your intake vacuum hose for a leak or hole. But most likely, you have a faulty Oxygen sensor. Now Bank 1 Sensor 1 means the bad O2 sensor is the one on the number one cylinder side (which is the cylinder closest to the timing belt or where all your belts and pulleys are),which is bank one. If you look really closely, you will see that the number 1 cylinder is just a little bit closer to the belts than the number 2 cylinder. Now that you know which side you are dealing with, the next step is which sensor. There are two O2 sensors on each side (upstream or downstream), four total. Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor, which is before the catalytic converter closest to the exhaust manifold. Number 2 sensor is on or after the catalytic converter. So in short, you are replacing the O2 sensor on the Number 1 cylinder side before the catalytic converter. They are a pain to remove. Get some Pb Blaster lubricating oil and spray on the threads and let sit for 10 minutes and spray it again. You will need a 7/8 Oxygen sensor removal socket to remove it. Don't forget to disconnect negative battery terminal and O2 wire harness first.. Any questions please feel free to email me. Good luck.

Receiving engine code p0420 on my 2005 altima 2.5 s

A p0420 code indicates a Catalytic System efficiency failure, Bank 1.
Basically, the computer is seeing reduced efficiency of the catalytic converter or one of it's components (such as an 02 sensor)

There may be a few root causes, such as a faulty oxygen sensor, faulty coolant temperature sensor, faulty converter, Large exhaust leak, or retarded (slow) timing.

CRANK SHAFT POSITION SENSOR 20002 NISSAN ALTIMA

1st, Nissan had a recall on Crank position sensors for 2002-2006 Altima's. Check with you dealer before you go doing any repairs. You may discover you can get your car repaired at no charge.
NHTSA Campaign ID number :O7V527000
Symptom: Erratic behavior. Stalling and no starts and very difficult to diagnose due to the time frame in which the component actually malfunctions. The warranty should not be limited to the original owner.
I would also need more specifics as to which engine you have so I might assist you in where the location of the sensor is. The Altima had a 4 and a 6 cyl engine offered that year.
