Can hold hand over throttle body and then it will crank , remove and it goes dead

When you do this it is creating a vacuum to pull in more fuel. You could have a vacuum leak somewhere, hoses, intake manifold. Or the idle air control motor is stuck open or the EGR valve is stuck open

Whiel vacuuming i accidentally vacuumed over the cord and it got stuck around the brush and it melted down to the wires. After taking the brush off and removing the melted rubber I put it back together and...

Before you do anything, did you wrap the wires with electrical tape? If not, you could get shocked, or at the very worse, burn it up.

As far as the thud sound goes, it sounds like you might have bent the brush and it's rubbing on something where it's bent. try to straighten it. Otherwise, are you sure you got all the rubber out?

Good luck.

I cannot get my heater to shut off when it get to hot in the house , i have it on 60 and auto and still running. I have to turn it off.

sounds like maybe you have a wire touching somewhere in the thermostat or the thermostat itself is failing, are you turning the power off to unit or turning the thermostat to off .... if you are turning power off then try this frirst turn you thermostat down as low as it will go a wait 1 minute 30seconds to see if it goes off if not then (at thermostat) remove the wire hooked to "w" terminal which if done correctly should be a white wire ... wait a few minutes and see if the unit shuts down ..if it does not see if you are still blowing hot air as the fan may just be running...if the heat portion stops ,but you still have fan then remove the "g" wire also and wait about 90-120 seconds and see if the fan goes off... if all goes off then either you thermost is still calling heat for some reason or you have one of those wires touching the "r' wire somewhere making the call for heat....
***** if you are turning the thermostat to off and the unit is going off then you most likely just have a bad thermostat and for some reason one of the relays are stuck on thermostat

Sounds like the 2 wires from the t-stat are touching somewhere. when you unplug it the low voltage is broken. Check the wires very closely to make sure they aren't touching. Even check in the t-statOne wire goes to red and one to white.

Ac unit starts up intermitently and runs for a few minutes then shuts down.Light on circuit board is steady red.Thermostat goes blank.

Sounds like you have a loose/broken 24volt wire. I would look at the wires comming off the transformer, the board, and the thermostat connections first.

Somewhere you are losing 24 volts. Obviosly the transformer is working, so you are just losing control voltage somewhere.

Check all connections at wirenuts, stackons, etc.

When I try to thread the right looper, I cant get it to go down the hole. the one on the left goes in just fine. I have always pushed the thread down just so far, then push the button for the air to push...

Hi, I have a Babylock Imagine, but had exactly the same problem so found your question when looking around. After tinkering for a bit, I figured out that there was a thread stuck somewhere between the air threading hole and the lower looper eye, and it was causing the air to blow backwards. I pulled the thread out and everything started working correctly. Looks like the Evolve is set up similarly--pull down the front cover, then pull the needle cover down and see if you see anything caught in there.

Sounds like a bad thermostat. Its either stuck open or stuck closed. Get it replaced ASAP before you do damage to the engine.
