I was riding my 05 tomos sprint and it just stoped fast and died and i wont let me kick start it is like its locked up or somthing.I talked to a moped shop they said it might just need to be serviced. But i dont no where to start.help me save my baby please
Its the central google clutch, theres two springs either side and one of these springs must have seized meaning that the clutch can not open up and close, it will always be in gear, i know its a rev and go and you dont have gears but you do, you have a nuetrual and a go when the springs are shut its in nuetral when there open they go, if they are open because of the seized spring the ped is in gear there for you canot turn the engine over by kick starting it. hope i helped :D
and im only 14 :P

I have a 49cc honda moped 2001. And has the same problem... but I have to fix it myself can you tell me how? Please help me! Thanks!!
Is the piston seized? Check the oil if there is no oil in the tank then you probably seized the engine. I did that and ruined my cylinder walls and the piston. I ended up just buying a 70cc cylinder instead of trying to replace the old one.

Ok well you need to pedal and smack the crank back like your kickstarting it but eventually you will feel it start to unlock and it may take a while to start up again but be warned this did happen to my tomos lx 2011 it has no compression and I have a 70cc arisal kit so I dont know why I have no compression I might need new rings but thats the only way you can try to fix it otherwise put it in the shop

DUDE YOU HAVE NO COMPRESSION BECAUSE YOU SCARRED THE INSIDE OF YOU CYLINDER WALLS WHEN YOU UNJAMMED THE PISTON!!!! THATS WHY YOU HAVE NO COMPRESSION!! DONT DO WHAT THIS GUY JUST SAID ^^^ HE IS IGNORANT ON ENGINES. YOU NEED TO TAKE THE CYLINDER OFF AND CHECK FOR SCARRING AND IF THE RINGS ARE DAMAGED!
